Bowel Cancer Screening

The Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP) aims to reduce bowel cancer mortality by detecting and treating bowel cancer, or pre-cancerous growths, at an early stage. It does this by looking for hidden blood in stool samples. FOBt kits are posted out by a Screening Hub every two years to the registered population aged 60 - 74 (aged 75+ can opt in by ringing free phone 0800 707 6060) to collect samples at home.
